Overview
Duxbury House Memory Care Residence, part of Welch Senior Living’s trusted family of communities, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Resident Care Director to join our team. In this role, you will help oversee the Resident Care Department within our dedicated Assisted Living Memory Care Community, supporting residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions in a warm, home-like environment focused on dignity, engagement, and quality of life. This position works closely with the Executive Director to ensure residents receive the highest level of clinical care, emotional support, and individualized attention while promoting independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Director with ongoing operations of the Special Care Unit Resident Care Department.
- Ensure the highest degree of quality care is consistently maintained.
- Oversee clinical services and supervise resident care staff.
- Monitor compliance with all state regulations as defined by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
- Promote an environment that respects resident rights, dignity, and independence.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and outside providers.
- Support care planning, assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Knowledge of geriatrics, Alzheimer’s disease, or related disorders.
- Experience in clinical settings such as skilled nursing, home care, or VNA, with assisted living experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and sound independent judgment.
- Collaborative team mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Schedule
